4. All these Officers with the exception of

Messrs. Figg and Carroll are at the present time on leave of

absence, and when you have arrived at a decision on the cases

of Captain Rumsey and Dr. Doberck, I shall be obliged if you

will give the necessary instructions to the Crown Agents for

the re-adjustment of the salaries they have already drawn in

England.
